7 months old

Kaylee continuously cracks us up with her playfulness.  She is a very happy baby as you can see.  She is getting in a lot more hair these days after a formula change.  She went from taking 2 ounces to 4 ounces practically overnight....I think she got her Mama's tastebuds.  She definitely prefers high quality formula and food haha!  

She enjoys playing with Mama and Grandmama's hair as evidenced by one of the pictures where she appears to be swinging off a vine with Grandma's hair!  She also loves her elephant Ellie and is very happy to chew on her tail all day long.  

She has also began to vocalize "Da", which doesn't really mean anything since we call her father "Papa".  Although Grandaddy is happy to claim it as her first word because he thinks she's trying to vocalize "Grandaddy."  ;)

Kaylee is...

almost sitting up by herself

jumping in her jumper (loves to jump!)

pulling her socks off every chance she gets

putting everything in her mouth

not getting any teeth yet but teething a lot

sleeping on her side

learning to push down

learning to reach up for people/items

5 months old

Yes, this is super late I know, but such is life with a wonderful, busy 5 month old!

Kaylee is...

Eating pureed veggies and meat (loves sweet potato and egg)

Learning to hold onto whoever is carrying her

Learning to give "kissies"

Watching cartoons (likes VeggieTales, Eek! the Cat, and Garfield)

Taking hour long naps in her bassinet as long as she's swaddled

4 months old

Kaylee is.....

- smiling a lot!

- starting to try to laugh

- rolling over...in her swing....talk about scary!

- over 12lbs and longer than fatter....takes after Papa

- holding her head up unsupported for a few minutes at a time

- trying to talk...squeals gibberish when she's happy

Kaylee's 1st Christmas photos

I had been meaning to post these ever since Christmas but never got around to doing it.  We took Kaylee to have her picture made for Christmas the week before Thanksgiving.  We had Christmas cards made to send out with the photos, which is why I held off on posting these until everyone received their cards.  I also surprised my husband with a framed photo of me and Kaylee for his office, so I didn't want to ruin one of his Christmas presents.
